Urban Safari with Rebecca Laurey

Get inspired with Rebecca Laurey, talented content creator and one of our street-style favourites , as she takes you on an urban safari with the new go-to style of the season. Her impeccable styling helps bring the structured geometric lines of the Safari bag to life, with Paris as a dreamy backdrop.

We caught up with Rebecca on her styling tips for the season and on where she will travel to this summer with her Safari Bag.

What are the essentials you carry in your Strathberry bag?

I’m very much pro less is more. I rarely even bring my wallet anymore, now I can pay with Apple Pay in most stores and restaurants. So, my essentials are pretty basic: my phone, keys, lip balm and currently a good SPF.

Where will you take your Safari Bag this summer?

Ohhh, it already made the journey from somewhere remote in Northern France to Paris. I’m currently in the South of France and will be traveling back and forth to France all over the summer for work and weddings. It’ll also come with me to Amsterdam, as well as New York. International little lady :)

What’s your favourite colour? How are you going to style it this season?

My favourite colour is the pink one. I wear a lot of neutrals so love a pop of colour in my bags. It just works with so many different colour palettes, it’s almost a neutral. I love it combined with whites and beige, but also with navy and green. I even like it with a bright red tone, or lilacs. Super versatile!

What’s your dream holiday destination?

I would love to go to New Zealand one day. I have family living there, but I’ve never been. It’s quite the journey, and with a little toddler in tow not an easy one to make currently. But definitely hope to make it one day! My other favourite is Cape Town, this one I’ve actually been to many times before and we will be going there for a month come January. I’m so excited to finally go back after the pandemic!

City break or relaxing beach holiday?

Relaxing beach holiday. Just because I always live in busy cities, when I do get that break I love a good beach.

How do you refine your spring/summer wardrobe?

It changed quite a bit over the years, I’m focusing on really good basics currently. A lot of high waisted (linen) trousers, white tops and shirt, some flirty dresses. Some really good (and bright) accessories: bags, earrings - just so I can play around with them and make my looks more interesting. Oh, and I love a good mini skirt or dress too! Paired with an oversized blazer, any time of the year!
